My Story

Eight months ago my Dad was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma (GBM) primary brain tumour, which is unfortunately terminal. My Dad has been lucky enough to be accepted onto a two year clinical trial at the Calvary Mater Hospital in Newcastle. Brain Cancer survival rates have only increased by 1% over the last 30 years. The Mark Hughes Foundation is a non-profit charity that has funded a Brain Cancer Biobank, Travel Grants Program, 10 research projects including 2 Fellowships and a Brain Cancer Care Coordinator.
The support provided by the Mark Hughes Foundation has been incredible for my family, especially the Brain Care Coordinator nurse who is entirely funded by the foundation and available for support for the patient and families at any time.
Please help me help the MHF by wearing a ‘Beanie for Brain Cancer’ on Friday 8th June 2018 and giving whatever you can by using the 'Give Now' button on this page.
You can also buy a MHF beanie too:

The more people that know about Mark Hughes Foundation, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means so much to me and my family!

Thank You
