Woy Woy Junior Rugby League Club is thrilled to announce our Beanies for Brain Cancer campaign for 2018.
If you're able, please help us hit our target of $1000 by donating the cost of your cup of coffee, sharing our campaign, or coming along to our Beanies for Brain Cancer round, June 2nd, 2018 at Rogers Park, Woy Woy.
Our president, Tim McParlane will be shaving his head on the day to aid in the cause. Everyone who donates via the everyday hero link will go in the draw to be the one to do the honours and free him from his locks.
Also on the day will be a jumping castle, superhero's via capes for kids, and cakes by Naomi will be selling delicious cupcakes in the canteen.
Brain cancer kills more children in Australia than any other disease, yet the survival rate has increased just 1% over the past 30 years. Compare this with advancements made in other cancers, with survival rates increasing 20% or more.
For brain cancer patients and their families these numbers are the difference between hope for the future or complete despair.
We are going to change those numbers, through funding and research and give hope.
Woy Woy Junior Rugby League Club is a proud supporter of the Mark Hughes Foundation, ready to tackle brain cancer.
