My Story

As you may be aware our family was touched by brain cancer three years ago when Sienna our youngest daughter was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumour called Ependymoma.
Sienna is doing well her latest scan was cancer free and whilst she is still required to have 6 monthly MRI's, she has progressed to long term following up with the Oncology Clinic at Westmead Children's Hospital which means she doesn't need to see an Oncologist until 2022.
Whilst Sienna is going really well, a lot of people with brain cancer do not have the outcomes. You may not be aware but
Brain cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in children under the age of ten, accounting for one third of all cancer deaths in this age group;
2 out of only ten people diagnosed with brain cancer will survive just five years.

Thank You
